Hearty food can be enjoyed in the bar, the snug, the dining room, or the beer garden. Where possible, ingredients are sourced locally in order to keep the food miles to a minimum. A lunch menu is available comprising of sandwiches, filled rolls, and jacket potatoes.

The main menu is available throughout the day and features all of the usual pub favourites, including steak and ale pie, scampi, and lasagne, with daily specials offering something a bit more unusual. There are options for vegetarians and those with special dietary requirements can be catered for on request. There is a children’s menu that has a choice of sides.

The inn is proud to support local breweries and offers up to ten real ales at any one time. There are no regular brews, with a selection that changes on a daily basis. Most of the time you can expect to find at least one ale from a west Cumbrian brewery. However, the inn does also source beers from breweries in the wider northern England region.
